Tutor - Indys & Gaps

Indys

Indys are probably the easiest tricks to try these before anything else.

  1. As you near the jump pick up enough speed and crouch low.
  2. As you near the lip spring with lots of force.
  3. Quickly bend your knees and bring your feet toward your butt.
  4. Grab your board in your favorite position and hang on.
  5. Use your other hand for balance and enjoy the ride.

Gaps

Gap jumping seems to be the new daredevil thing to do this year. They make ordanary tricks more challenging. They force to go bigger and ruin you if you go too small. Determining the speed and spring comes with experience. Remember, its always easier overshoot a gap than to under estimate it. Landing flat is much easier than smashing into a vert wall. When you start jumping gaps don't go for the huge gaps, go for the small ones and work your way up. When you find a gap you like, just jump it a few times before you try anything fancy.
